  2. prometheus integration

I saw that a Grafana plugin was suggested and I am all for it, but even better might be a Prometheus integration. Prometheus pulls the data in and stores it. Once it's in Prometheus it can be displayed in Grafana pretty easily. I suspect that since there is already an API for updown it's just a matter of making the two systems data connect but that's a bit out of my grasp to do it myself.

  3. Show QUALYS SSL Labs Grade

Show somewhere on the status page, the SSL Labs grade for the monitored host. It can be get trough the API, like https://api.ssllabs.com/api/v3/analyze?host=updown.io (it could be tested once a day for each host)

  4. Better expired SSL certificate notifications

Notifications about expired certificates can be improved (made more noticable) in 2 ways:
    1. Display expired certificates as downtime (or use some other highlighting) in weekly reports (and other periodic reports).
    2. Send repeated notifications for expired certificates (as it is done for downtime).

  6. Choose alert recipient with API

It would be nice to be able to choose which notification recipient (email, sms, ...) to activate/deactivate when creating a check through the API.
For now all recipients are activated by default.

  8. Show Total Time on dashboard

I like to see the Total Time from the last 24 hours (so REDIRECTIONS + NAME LOOKUP + CONNECTION + TLS HANDSHAKE + RESPONSE TIME) on the dashboard.

Would be very nice to not only see the Apdex, but also the Total Time for all websites at one overview page.

  9. Ability to toggle Apdex notifications on a per-check basis

I have two sites which I would like to have Apdex notifications enabled, and a third where the notifications are unneeded. It would be nice to be able to toggle them on/off individually rather than having a global enable/disable.

  10. Adding HeadWayApp ID or widget code to the status pages

I liked your usage of the HeadWayapp to show us what is new with updown.io and it gave me an idea.

I am mapping all 150 of my websites to the subdomain status.<website>.com in order to allow people to check the status of the websites when they need to. Now, once a person sees the status page and notices an outage, the first thing they are going to be curious about is what happened. I was thinking it would be rad if we could add the "account ID" from the HEadWayapp widget code to status pages. this will allow admins…

  12. Meta tag "noindex" on public status page

It seems that Google has indexed my public status page, in all available languages. This isn't really necessary; it would be useful if there was some way for me to turn on a "noindex" meta tag, preventing search engines from indexing it.

Hi, 2 months ago we started providing canonical URLs so search engines would only display a single result (without the localized version) but it looks like this is not enough and multiple versions are still indexed. We’ll probably add some noindex to help with that.
On the other end we’re not gonna totally block the indexing of the main status page because this is a feature, being able to lookup a status page when the monitored service is down can be useful.

  13. Matrix notification

    Hi,
You are providing Slack notifications. It would great to get Matrix notification (matrix.org). Open source. Open API.
    Thanks.

  14. Alias for alert email addresses

When using a service such as StatusPage for client updates, it provides a long unique email address for each type of alert we need to monitor. Without an alias it’s difficult to see if we are selecting the correct alert when assigning to each monitoring process.

  15. Make detailed pricing information publicly available (without registering and logging in)

updown.io is STUPENDOUSLY inexpensive compared to most other uptime monitoring solutions available today. This is obviously one of your strongest selling points.

So, "hiding" detailed pricing information on the logged-in-users-only page https://updown.io/credits/buy seems counter-productive. I was especially surprised by the big discounts given when buying credits in bulk. It seems to me that a version of this page (or equivalent information) should be made available for everyone, even if they haven't signed up for the service yet or are currently logged out. (This would make it easier for fans to share this information with friends or other prospective users, as…

  16. Having a global domain as CNAME for all status pages instead of one per status page

I would like to be able to have "https://status.domain.com/xxxx" instead of "https://xxxx.status.domain.com" :).

This could allow me to avoid touching my DNS all the time for every check.

  17. Turn the webapp into a PWA (Progressive Web Application)

I believe the effort to turn you application into an webapp is pretty low (just include the manifest.json into the project root), and that would enable the users to install the website and use as an app.
It would also open some doors for future development:
    - Send push notifications from web
    - Offline access (yeah, this is kinda weird for you product)
    - Improved caching
    - Auto-updates straight from web (this is in comparison to native apps)

  19. Hyperlink to URL from main listing page

I think it would be neat if there was a way to visit the URL from the UI. So if a website is down, I can just click on the URL/Endpoint to go directly to it but currently I would need to click edit and copy/paste it into the URL. Some endpoints are very specific so it makes it easier to navigate to.

I have attached an example suggestion.

Hello, this is a good suggestion indeed. Once the status pages are released (which will share this UI) it’ll be a bit tricky to get right in order not to share private information like basic auth passwords or API tokens but it sounds doable.
