You're right, it works now awesomely. I had some misbelief about how SSL certs (:
Thank You, it's a really important feature for me.

Hi,
Your setup is correct and there's nothing else to do than the CNAME, my servers can't be serving your old cert as they don't have it, so it most probably was because you had a previous DNS entry still in cache somewhere.
I just tried https://allapot.webhelyesarcu.hu/ and it works perfectly, how is it for you now?

Hi,
Thanks for the new feature. However, I'm afraid it won't work this way.
I've just set up the CNAME record with the following:
Name: allapot.webhelyesarcu.hu.
Record: upqk.status.updown.ioWhen I open the URL https://allapot.webhelyesarcu.hu/ it uses my old SSL cert (for my own server). To get it work properly, I guess I had to install the cert of the updown server on my own server.
Am I wrong with this?

Yeah this would be awesome! If this isn't an option, a wildcard cert for status.updown.io (so they could be served securely) would be great. Then you can just chuck Cloudflare on top.

I've just set up HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) on my site with subdomains option, so none of the subdomains are available via http anymore (only via https).
To make the public status page work, I guess the xxxx.status.updown.io subdomain should serve certificate of the referring status.mysite.com. Probably the cert can be only issued when the CNAME record is set already. Definitely challenging, but would be a cool feature.
Until then, I simply redirect status.mysite.com to the updown.io/xxxx.
