Public status page with custom domain and free SSL certificate (using Let's Encrypt).35 votes
Hey! we just released an experimental support of https for custom domain status page (with auto-generated let’s encrypt cert). Please have a try and let us know what you think!
Post certificate expiration warning via Slack4 votes
This is now implemented
Currently, at least in the Slack notifications, the timestamp is sent, but there is no timezone. The slack channel I am using has members from multiple timezones. I have the TZ in updown set to UTC, so it would be useful if the notification also mentioned "UTC" with the timestamp.2 votes
Love love love updown's service! Would love to see affiliate program or refer a friend link. I run a marketing blog with quite a bit of traffic and would love to write up a review. Will most likely be writing one anyways, but I think you could spread the word faster if you hit up bloggers with an incentive.6 votes
Search field on the checks page that filters visible checks2 votes
Forgot to update the status but this is actually implemented ;)
I.e., Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Dublin19 votes
New monitoring nodes has been deployed with 4 new locations including one in Europe: Frankfurt.
An option in the settings to remove the Updown.io logo and footer (every link to Updown.io) from status pages.47 votes
Just added a “white-label” option to remove updown branding from status pages.
We would like a longer history of APDEX data so we can show one of our providers and keep them honest.7 votes
You can now view daily Apdex numbers in the calendar view of the status page for current and previous month:
Ability to disable services, so they are not polled, but settings and history is kept.1 vote
You can already do that with the checkbox on the left when you edit a check ☺
Ability to choose locations from which checks are performed.19 votes
Don't show 'STRING FOUND' in public status page.10 votes
The status page now simply displays “UP” or “DOWN” for string match checks.
Slack integration1 vote
Hi, slack integration is there ;)
A way to integrate it into my site (similar to statuspage) so I can go to status.mysite.com and see a version of the public status page.16 votes
This is now done!
You can have you status page under your own subdomain with a simple CNAME.
How to: https://updown.io/public-status
This would allow a more precise monitoring of other pieces of infrastructure.14 votes
ICMP (ping) and TCP has been added: https://twitter.com/updownio/status/658328364772687873
You can even check for SSH using a TCP check on port 22 + string match “SSH”
It would be nice to have webhooks. It's quite common to have them in services that emit notifications. It's a great simple way to hook up some third-party services. Since it's a simple URL to "ping" it's not as coupled and hard to do as proper integrations.15 votes
we now provide webhooks: https://updown.io/api#webhooks
Let me know what you think!
A public (configurable/branded) overview page. Like statuspage.io, but than the updown.io way :-)
Maybe with a cname option?3 votes
Hey, I’m not sure if you noticed but there are already status pages per URL, ex: https://updown.io/ngg8
You can access it simply by clicking your check’s URL in your dashboard and you can make it public using the toggle at the top (default is private)
CNAME support is in the roadmap but low priority.
It would be good to have more PoPs, especially in regions not yet covered like Asia.10 votes
We just added Singapore & San Francisco. Check out our current PoPs here: https://updown.io/about
Paypal is now integrated
Would be great to support at least a coma separated list of email.
So that I can notify several person, use fallback email, use sms/external notification (flowdock, chat, Nexmo ...), currently this is a bit tricky to use for a team without at least a ML setup. Maybe the first Corporate feature :)1 vote
This is now implemented :)
