Safebrowsing monitor
Ability to monitor if website has been reported.
1 voteThanks for this suggestion. I haven't communicated about this much but I actually already implemented this a couple years ago. It sends alerts and show in the dashboard with a "bug" icon. If you have a website for which this is not working as expected, please let me know so I can have a look!

Alert after certain time of downtime
Implement a function to only send out alert IF website has been down more than ie 5/10 minutes would be AWESOME.
1 voteThis is already the case, thanks to the double check we only send alerts if the downtime is longer than your check frequency. So if you set check frequency to 5min, you’ll only receive alerts for downtimes longer than 5min.

Improve API: allow CRUD on Email Alert Addresses and Pages
We want to monitor 100+ servers, with new clients and servers coming regularly. We already can create the Checks via API - we would love to have APIs to:
- create & update the status page for the client (with multiple checks)
- create & update Email Alert Addresses for clients and bind them to Checks
1 voteThe API to control recipients on checks is already done (see https://headwayapp.co/updown-release-notes/recipients-api-221723)
The one about status page has been added recently, see: https://headwayapp.co/updown-release-notes/status-pages-api-227764

Clarify amount of time left with current credits
Right now, the credit display reads something like this: "99,999 credits — 23m 4d". When I first started, with 100000 credits, this was confusing to be, because I assumed that the "23m" part meant 23 minutes. After a bit, I clicked on it, and found that it was really 23 months. This should be clarified to something like "99,999 credits — 23 months, 4 days."
1 voteThis has already been done, I forgot to update the suggestion :)

"Select all" for the "Bulk update notification recipients" section
I just spend a mind numbing hour manually unchecking > 1000 notifications on this page.
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to have a simple "Check all/uncheck all" toggle at the top?
Really don't want to go through this again..... :(1 voteHi, I'm sorry about your experience, you are right it's definitely easier to have a "check/uncheck all" toggle at the top. But this is already the case actually, you can click on column headers (or row headers) to select/deselect the whole column (row). So unless you have 1000 columns, you can very quickly deselect all that you need. I guess this feature was a bit too hidden so I'll try to make it a bit more explicit or add some hint text!

Add a timestamp when the service was lastup when it´s down
It wold be great to have a timestamp when the service/check was last up when it´s reported as down, it might be it´s already there but I have missed it?
1 voteOk I see, I just added some details about the last time since up/down and the time of last check in the tooltip on the status tag.

I want to implement monitoring from only one country.
I want to implement monitoring from only one country.
I understand why they require more than one due to availability and other issues. However, I would like you to support the case where the web service specification allows access only from one country.1 voteWell as a matter of fact I just implemented a way to bypass this limitation per account, so for people who are aware of the availability issue and risk of false-positive but want to do this anyway I can now allow it.
I’ve just enabled this on your account. If other people are interested you can contact support.
But I still recommend having two locations at least even if it means white-listing some updown.io instances if needed.

Add "Pause Monitoring" to API.
Add a method on the API to pause monitoring. This would be useful when site is entering Maintenance Mode etc..
1 voteThis is already possible by setting the “enabled” field to false using the check edit endpoint (PUT /checks/xxxx)

Disable email alerts
An option to disable email alerts if Slack integration is enabled would be great, cuts down the number of notifications. Small thing but would be great :)
1 voteIt’s now possible to select recipients for each check so you can disable email alerts if you want.
-
Support multiple recipients
Would be great to support at least a coma separated list of email.
So that I can notify several person, use fallback email, use sms/external notification (flowdock, chat, Nexmo ...), currently this is a bit tricky to use for a team without at least a ML setup. Maybe the first Corporate feature :)
1 voteThis is now implemented :)

Twitter up/down notifications via DM
Twitter up/down notifications via DM
1 voteHi all, there’s now an option for that which is through Zapier (we just added native Zapier integration): https://updown.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1911991
Using this you can connect Twitter accounts and receive alerts from updown.io.

Allow URLs with non-ascii symbols
Allow monitoring a URL suck as http://wikipedia.org/wiki/λ or http://wikipedia.org/wiki/🍔. It's annoying to manually have to URL-encode URLs and it's hard to see what the “real” URL is in the list when it's all percentage signs and numbers.
1 voteThis is now possible: https://headwayapp.co/updown-release-notes/internationalized-url-support-(irl)-211322

Disable services
Ability to disable services, so they are not polled, but settings and history is kept.
1 voteYou can already do that with the checkbox on the left when you edit a check ☺

Editing and Deleting multiple sites simultaneously
Hi, my name is Von Reid and my company uses updown for site monitoring. We like it, it's been useful.
However, I use your interface enough that I'm going to try to request a few features that will make your interface easier for use for everyone that uses it:Delete multiple sites. It would be sooo much easier to delete multiple sites with 1 click instead of having to delete one site at a time and wait for it to refresh every single time. It takes forever to delete multiple sites right now, but it would be so nice to…
1 voteHi, this has been improved, you can now edit and delete checks independently without any refresh.
We won’t do bulk delete though as it would complexify the front-end quite a bit for a small gain.
Also (just in case you don’t already know) if you want to edit check recipient there’s a dedicated bulk edit page where you can see which recipient is enable on which check and toggle by line / row or individually: updown.io/checks/recipients
