Log of uptime/downtime
Maybe I overlooked it, but is there a log of the incidents available? Simply a text list of the times when a website went down, and when it was up again.
136 votesHello everyone, I’ve just added a way to get the detailed results from the last 5 checks before downtime and recovery to the downtime API, all you have to do is add the “results=true” parameter, like this:
https://updown.io/api/checks/yyyy/downtimes?api-key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx&results=true
Warnings:
- This API is alpha version, it can still change.
- The response can be huge, I recommend using this only when needed and with http gzip compression if you can.
- The dual stack results (IPv4 and IPv6) will NOT repeat “body” and “received_headers” if they are the same as in the parent result record, to save space.Let me know what you think!

Status page with responsive design
More specifically, we display the status page on a widescreen TV, and we have to zoom out to fit the height of the status page, leaving a lot of unused space on the sides.

Add Chinese monitor location
The response time to Chinese server (located on Alibaba or Baidu for example) is very slow for non-Chinese clients.
17 votesWhile I understand the need, being in China is a lot of work (mainly support and maintenance) as the network conditions are erratic and with out current double check policy would not actually notify if your website is unreachable in China (unless we have two servers here and become a regional monitoring service but that’s not the objective and we can’t just do that in every country). I’ll keep the idea open to measure interest. Also if some of you have recommendations for a dependable and affordable hosting provider in China I’m interested.

Widget and badge status
Status pages are really good, but it's sometimes simpler to have a widget to integrate into another site.
(badges are also very cool ;))41 votesYes actually there is an integration with http://shields.io/ planned to provide standard badges to everyone. We probably won’t do any widget though, it’s hard to do one that will look good on most websites. We’ll release read-only API keys in January though, that will allow building highly customizable status page / widget directly in javascript.

Public status page with several checks
A status page with several checks, showing daily/weekly/monthly stats for all of them.
294 votesFeb 2021 update: A first version of the group status page feature (only the basics for now) has been released so you can give it a try!
The link is hidden for the moment, please go to https://updown.io/status_pages to create your first status page.
And here is a demo status page that we just created: https://updown.io/p/3ji4k
Please give it a go and let us know what you think!
For the record it is still possible to use our read-only API key to build truly custom status page or dashboard in javascript.
Here are some example custom status page made by our users that you could start from:

Would love an option in the dashboard to sort checks by apdex, to make it easier to see which of our sites are not doing so well.

Allow cachebusting URLs
I use updown to check a url that is behind a caching CDN. If the origin server goes offline, real users making requests for new URLs will see errors, but I will not be notified of downtime: the updown check will still succeed since the URL it is checking has been cached.
I'd like the ability to add a random string to a URL each time it is checked, so that requests bust through the cache and check that both the CDN and origin server are online

Make detailed pricing information publicly available (without registering and logging in)
updown.io is STUPENDOUSLY inexpensive compared to most other uptime monitoring solutions available today. This is obviously one of your strongest selling points.
So, "hiding" detailed pricing information on the logged-in-users-only page https://updown.io/credits/buy seems counter-productive. I was especially surprised by the big discounts given when buying credits in bulk. It seems to me that a version of this page (or equivalent information) should be made available for everyone, even if they haven't signed up for the service yet or are currently logged out. (This would make it easier for fans to share this information with friends or other prospective users, as…

Send webhook-event when website is removed
It sometimes occurs that a website which is no longer hosted by us goes down and has not (yet) been removed from updown.io. When we see a notification about such a website, it is usually removed from updown.io so it is no longer checked.
Once it goes down, a webhook is sent and a monitoring-system alerts us of this error. If the website is removed from updown.io, there is no event to notifiy our system of this change, so the error persists.
It would be great if the deletion of a website sends a webhook so your custom system could…
